Math
Adding to 100! I have attached pictures to show what is to be done for this activity. This can be done Tuesday and Thursday (or daily if they want to). This is an independent task or can be played with someone else.
Number Bonds – This can be done for 10 minutes a day on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
They should also continue to work on 1 more story problem in their Math packet each day and work on Zearn 10 minutes a day.
Religion
Here are direction for a Lenten Cross project. When it is complete if you could please share and send me a photo, I would like to make a collage of our work to share.
Also, continue to read and finish your stations of the cross booklet and check out the Passion of the Christ video I linked earlier last week.
Science
They can continue to do the Mystery Science links that are on the website under the KINDERS Blog. I can send more links if you need. You really only need to do 3 this week.
ELA/Writing
I know some are making their way through the workbook quickly. If you still have pages to work on continue working on 2 pages daily.
Sight Word practice – keep working on those words and sentences. If you feel your child need a bigger challenge have them work as they were last week but add one more sentence, this time write a sentence using both words that you chose in addition to the other sentences. Write a story or letter using the sight words and underline them.
Keep working on the blending pages. It may seem monotonous but it helps them become stronger more fluent readers. This is something we do daily in class so they can continue at home!
I have attached some fluency pages and writing prompt pages. If you can not print these do not worry, just have your kiddo do the writing on a separate piece of paper. If you can print and want to please feel free to do so. For the week I would like them to do
** 1 Fluency sheet on Monday and Wednesday
** 1 writing prompt on Tuesday and Thursday
I am also attaching a link for Scholastic Learn at Home. https://classroommagazines.scholastic.com/support/learnathome.html
When you go on you will see choices based on grade level. I would like you to start with the Pre-K/Kinder tab; however, if you feel your child needs something more challenging check out the 1st / 2nd grade stories! It is set up for 1 activity a day (I only want you to do 3 this week) 1st they listen to a story, 2nd they read a story then there are activity links below for them to work on after they read. In addition, have the kiddos write 1 thing they learned from the story.
As far as superkids this week if you are looking for more for them have them go on the App and keep reading and working on word games.
I received a great response to having me sign on with kiddos daily for 30ish minutes. So I will be going in this week to put together a new packet of work for you to pick up. I’m thinking Wednesday but I’ll contact you for sure. This will include new Superkids materials, April math word problem, additional math module sheets, and religion packets. These new materials will not be needed until the week of the 6th. We will only be doing work Monday and Tuesday that week as Mrs. Szczepanski wants us all to take time and celebrate the Easter holiday.
I hope I have not scared/intimidated you with all this information. I like to hope I have given you all you need to be successful! Fingers crossed!!!
Finally, since it worked so well last Friday, I will be setting up another story time for Friday at 10!! Can hardly wait to “SEE” you all again!!
Love,
Miss Sudyn
