I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season so far. We have been very busy since before Thanksgiving, so here is an abridged version of what Kindergarten has been like!
Happy Thanksgiving!
We continued working on STREAM and stories from the Bible. We made tunnels to help Moses lead the Israelite's from the Pharaoh to freedom.
Your children are doing an absolutely amazing job reading. We have started working with sight words that are going home in your child's take home folder every Monday. We practice here at school and it will only make them stronger readers if practice continue's at home. Our SuperKids are so much fun too! We are just finishing up Lily which means we have mastered 6 letters and sounds and are now reading sentences and books using our decoding skills!!!! The website is up and if I received your confirmation and e-mail you are signed up to use the sight. You will find books and games available that the children have learned and should be able to decode. New stories and games become available as we continue to learn more.
Our 7th Grade friends came and helped us write some letters to Santa and to our Elf Jesse telling both all the good things we have done and why we should be put on the nice list this year!
I would like to take a moment and thank each and everyone of you for ALL of you generosity the holiday season! I know how short time and money is, but with your help we have given your children a wonderful gift too... they have the sweetest hearts and have learned that we can help others in so many ways. With the Thanksgiving food drive, pj donations, our adopted family your children have shown warmth and generation to those who are not as fortunate as we are. THANK YOU!
